Ohio Squirrels hosted the Sycamore High School Aviators and the University of Cincinnati this past weekend in a Mini Harvest Classic at the University of Cincinnati Keating Aquatic Center. The Squirrels went split squad and put up quite a competitive battle against the Aviators and the Bearcats. See results below. Thank you to both teams and all who attended! Good luck to both of the clubs as Sycamore heads into the Ohio High School State Championships and University of Cincinnati heads into the CWPA Great Lakes Championships.

The Ohio Squirrels WPC sent a small roster to join forces with SIUC and go 2-2 at Indy Endless Summer Classic Wins over: Purdue & Illinois State University Losses to: Notre Dame and Indy Masters Thank you to the hosts for a fantastic tournament! For the first summer, Cincinnati Splash Water Polo was a great success. During 2 sessions, we had 15 kids attend and learn the fundamentals of water polo, being a team player and water safety. With parents in the water to assist, they were able to get a great understanding of how much fun the game is. Would like to thank American Water Polo (www.americanwaterpolo.org) for their assistance in helping us get this off the ground. Also, can’t thank the Village of Evendale (https://www.evendaleohio.org/) for their work in providing the facility, lifeguards and opportunity. On July, 20th, 15 Squirrels and their families traveled to Falmouth, KY for their annual Lake Polo event. With the use of Kap7 inflatable goals, rope, empty milk jugs, a cinder block and swimming noodles, a course was put together for water polo. Schedule – 1000am – 1030am – Warm-Up 1030am – 1230am – Play 1230pm – 130pm – Lunch 130pm – 3pm – Play A small contingent went down Friday night to setup the course, camp out and enjoy the outdoors of Kentucky! July 13 – 14 – Tony Azevedo, 5x Olympian and Silver Medalist visited Cincinnati to put on a clinic in collaboration with the Jose Cerda Aquatics Foundation. Some members of the Ohio Squirrels WPC got to attend dinner with him during Saturday night.
